How to monitor the pace of play in CPS Air

Quick overview

The pace of play displays in the Time column in Starter Hut after the customer has checked in. It works by assigning a status to players during their game. Long-press the Time cell to update the following in sequence:

  • Tee Off - after golfers tee off at the first hole.
  • Turn - at the halfway point, that is, hole 9 in an 18-hole game.
  • Finish - select when golfers complete the final hole.

Enhancements from 3.92Note: The day function for tee off, the turn and finish time has been removed. The size of the time rollers is larger so that they are easier to roll with your fingers. Finally, the day no longer displays for tee-off times.

How to update each phase of the pace of play

Once the reservation has been made, and the golfers are checked in and paid. Also, you have finalized their bill, now you can adjust their tee-off time by doing the following:

Updating Tee Off Time

  1. To the left of the row of where the customer(s) display, [long-press] the Time cell. A time pop-out panel displays to the right of the screen with Tee Off at the top.

  1. Select the time by spinning the hour, minute and AM/PM options. The new time of day displays.
  2. Select Save. After a few seconds, an icon [golf swinger] displays in the Time column.

Updating the Turn Time

The Turn Time will only display after you have set the Tee Off time; do the following:

  1. To the left of the row of where the customer(s) display, long-press the Time cell. A time pop-out panel displays to the right of the screen with Turn at the top of the time wheel.

  1. Select the time the turn was made by spinning the hour, minute and AM/PM options. The new time of day displays.
  2. Select Save. After a few seconds, an icon [turn-around] displays in the Time column.

Note: If you set up colors to display that indicate that their pace is slow or fast, the color displays in the Starter Hut of the local terminal’s software only. For example, if they are going very slow, you may have that set up to display the color yellow. See Starter Hut to learn how to set that up.

Updating the Finish Time

The option to set the finish time only displays after you have set the Tee Off or Turn Time time depending on your course; do the following:

  1. To the left of the row of where the customer(s) display, long-press the Time cell. A time pop-out panel displays to the right of the screen with Finish at the top of the time wheel.

  1. Select the time the turn was made by spinning the hour, minute and AM/PM options. The new time of day displays.
  2. Select Save. After a few seconds, the elapsed time in hours and minutes displays (not the time the round ended) in the Time column.

Note: If you set up colors to display that indicate that their pace is slow or fast, the color displays in the Starter Hut of the local terminal’s software only. For example, if they are going very slow, you may have that set up to display the color yellow. See another topic to set that up.
