How to run an Inventory $ by Category Report

The Inventory check-in and check-out process, AKA the Bev Cart, produces accurate Inventory $ by Category reports in the 3.96 release.

To run an Inventory $ by Category report

  1. Go to Reports in POS Express.

  2. Click Report Options in the lower-left part of the screen, select Inventory $ by Category from the left column and select the > button to move it to the right column, and then select Close. The report is in the On Demand list.


Note: If you previously moved the report into the OnDemand list, select OnDemand at the top left of the screen; the report is available from the list on the left.

  1. Select Inventory $ by Category from the list of reports to the left. The setup screen displays to the right.

  1. Select the following as needed:

  • Date Range To - A date range up to the date you select.

  • Company Information - Your company information.

  • Template - This can be set up for specific categories first using the Set Up button to the right of this drop-down field. Once set up, you can select it from the drop-down list.

  • Select the desired category checkboxes or select the Select all button to the box’s lower-right for all categories to be selected.

  • Season Information - Select season information from the drop-down menu.

  • In Stock Only - Select the Yes radio button only to include what is in stock.

  • Inventory Options - Select the options for this inventory from the drop-down menu.

  • Scroll down to work with the Report Snap Shot options.

  • Discontinued Items - Select the Exclude Discontinued Items checkbox to do just that.

  1. Select the Display button or the Print button to see or print the report as needed.
